Registration
Highlands Travel Baseball Registration Overview
- As in the past, coach evaluations from the most recent spring/summer seasons and the results of independent evaluations (at a date to be announced later) will drive placement on "A" and "B" teams for 10U and above. Evaluations for 8U and 9U teams will be done by the HTB Board (at a date to be announced later) and combined with the coach evaluations to create equally-split teams.
- Those who register after 10/17 will be assessed a $50 late fee.
- Registration fees are refunded for those who are not invited to join a team.
- A $50 tryout fee is applied for those who decline a spot on a team.
HTB teams will participate in Spring and Summer league play in 2025. Spring league play takes place in April and May with 1 game per week, generally on Sundays, as well as practices during the week when possible. The Summer season spans June and July, with 2-3 games a week (~14 games),1-2 practices weekly, and concludes with playoffs at the end of July for teams that qualify.
Winter training (encompassed within the registration fee) will run from late February through the end of March.
Teams will be encouraged to participate in tournaments during the Spring and Summer with HTB paying registration fees for up to 2 local tournaments per team.
PLAYER COMMITMENT
A successful travel program is dependent on player commitment.
Travel baseball is in addition to recreational baseball (required through 12U) and is intended for the player that wants to further develop their skills in a more competitive environment with teammates from the Highlands Quad district. Attendance and a strong commitment to the travel team is expected in order to participate. Vacations and extended travel for HTB players should be avoided prior to August. If HTB is not your main team/sports commitment for the Summer, we ask that you NOT register. Poor attendance makes things very difficult for the rest of team. Poor commitment will impact playing time and future eligibility.
UNIFORMS
Uniforms comprised of a hat, jersey, practice shirt, belt, pants, and socks are included for all participants. An HTB helmet is mandatory but players can use their previous helmet if it is in good condition. There is a registration option for a helmet which allows HTB to quantify an order with our vendor. The helmets are an additional cost of $55, to be paid directly to our vendor during fitting. Helmets and other uniform accessories will be available at Closeout Bats in Westwood or through the HTB store online.
FEES
Standard cost of $795 per registrant. In cases where teams may ultimately have paid coaches, additional fees may be necessary.
